E-Athletes (2008)

For a year and half we followed two professional Counterstrike teams – ‘Team 3D’ and ‘Complexity Clan’ – around the country and the globe. We filmed them in their hometowns, hotel rooms, at tournaments and even at the bars (when we didn’t have a beverage in our hand ourselves.) Team 3D and Complexity are the top two professional counterstrike teams in the United States. They leave their girlfriends and travel the world to compete for thousands of dollars. Professional gaming has exploded in Europe and Asia, but the counterstrike community in the United States struggles to legitimize their “sport”.
